What is AIRHACKS?

AIRHACKS is a project where we looked at how Airthings can go from selling products, to offering a holistic service. Through AIRHACKS we focused on making it easy for the user to prevent, improve and understand their indoor climate.

Our solution to this is a notification system, a new section in the app with explenations and 'hacks' and more clear information throughout the app. AIRHACKS provides the user with information regarding their own measurments and surroundings. While also helping users understand their measurements and possible causes, by also providing actionable tips (‘hacks’) on how to fix it.

Why AIRHACKS?

Through our research we discovered that users miss a closer relationship with Airthings. There's often no contact with Airthings after they buy. Another problem we found was that users often are given numbers and graphs that they don't understand. A user told "I haven't had time to google the meaning of the different values yet". This makes their Airthings device just another stress moment in their life, or something they forget after a short time.

By providing low threshold actions, reminded through filtered notifications AIRHACKS can help build good habits and establish a realtionship with Airthings. With AIRHACKS we whant the user to build knowledge about their indoor environment so they can take action if needed.
